A poem about a pianist. Written for the 'Endings are the New Beginning Contest'
Take me to the place of my dreams
and give me the strength to touch others
with this music, this magic we create together.
I stare out at our crowd and flex my fingers,
I gently press your keys to begin
and we become one with Mozart.
A classic that can be played time and time again,
sweet melody of purity and serenity.
I can see the notes and colors dance in my head,
this is where I am most happy, sharing my gift,
aspiring others to do the same.
Young children in awe of the scene
wide eyed with whispers of glee.
putting all of my passion and weeks of hard work into this moment,
this few minutes that seems to last a lifetime.
I give it my all.
