That timeless story
I lost my wife a year ago
and I still moan and weep.
It took me time to say this but
I’ve lost a lot of sleep.

I lost my wife a year ago
and life is not the same.
I should have seen it coming and
I must accept the blame.

I lost my wife a year ago
but she’s not really dead.
She moved on to a better place.
(At least that’s what she said.)

I lost my wife a year ago.
She hasn’t shown up yet.
She ran off with the Fed Ex man.
Yeah, that would be my bet.

Damn the deliveries
Damn the deliveries
