Many things going on outside from my window
Cats dance with falling leaves
in the gentle chilly breeze
A day so vibrant
you can see a grasshopper sneeze

Someone riding their bike
bundled up and warm
people walking down the street
swinging both their arms

Sun with life-giving powers
bestowing magic to all
Light beams making patterns
against my living room wall

Back in the day I would be outside
not minding the brisk cold
but now I dread the chilliness
as day by day I grow old

At times I must venture out
into the frigid air
The frost so real and crisp
And the ground so bare

But I would rather be inside
from my window so clear
While fall and winter play their game
the view is good from here.
