A poem of a father's feelings towards his children.

Two children walking hand in hand
One boy, one girl, footprints in the sand.
They are my children
My son and my daughter
And I’ll love them forever,
Because I am their father.

But my job is serious,
And I take it to heart.
I’m not just a father
But also a guiding light.

A teacher, a friend
A companion and physician.
A jack of all trades.
All worthwhile positions.

And later at night
When it’s time for bed.
I tuck them in gently
And kiss their sweet heads.

For children are so loving,
A gift from above.
And I give them all I can
Of a true father’s undeniable love.
