Flash Fiction Contest - 252 Words
F. T. Keeper, dreaded the meeting with his boss,
another yearly report. He shoved the report
into his brief case and knocked on the door.
Mr. Regal, hunkered at his desk, eyed the papers
spread in front of him. "Come in, F.T, and sit down."

"Mr. Regal, I know the numbers look good but this
company is in trouble."

"Yes, management panics, always gloom and doom
and its mushroomed into fights. Deadlines are a big
problem and so is the blame game. Now our clients
are complaining partly due to management."

"Yes, its filtered down to our customers, morale is
low, everyone is rushed, ready to call it quits. Me
too, I quit, can't take it anymore."

"Whoa! You know the success of this business depends
on you. Don't do anything yet, let me get back with you"

"OK, F. T in a week's time I found the solution to our
problem. First, we relocate, you keep your job
and oversee a new department."

"What do you mean a new department?"

"You will meet and brief every employee and usher. . .

"Did you say usher like a door greeter?"

"It's more than an door greeter, you will prepare
management and clients to work together."

Mr. Regal saved the company, everyone wanted to
to work for him. After employees heard the new
policies, the doors swung open and they entered
the most contented work force around. Regal's
company moved just in time, flames shot from
heaven destroying the earth and Father
Time's office.
