Getting your business read for the New Year
|There is only a few weeks before Christmas and the New Year, and, by now, you are probably thinking about tidying up and organizing your home to put up your Christmas decorations and setting up for entertaining. Did you realize that you can do the same type of house keeping with your content creation?
Now, I know you are busy with plans for the holidays, but this is the ultimate time to plan your next business year. You have the opportunity to take stock of what is happening in your business and make changes and adjustments. Plan to start 2019 off strong and focused. Focusing now on your business will make everything go smoothly from the start in 2019.
Right now, I am taking a look of everything I did in 2018 and deciding on how I could improve in the New Year and bring in more clients and business. I have made the commitment to consistent content creation. I have decided on two programs I will run this year, and I am committed to creating the programs that are the most valuable to my community.
You can do the same. Start on a Content Calendar. My calendar is started. I work best when I commit to bite size actions, so my calendar is being created every weekend for the next week. I am deciding on a few fun activities for my community. I am all set to give my community the best value.
The best way I have found to focus on my creation is a Mind Map. It is a tool I use in my book writing, and I found it was invaluable in my content creation for my business. It gets the creative juices flowing and helps me decide how to structure each of my projects. I have one done for my overall content creation, and I am certain I will be doing more for each project and program that I create.
This is the time, as well, to find out the goals your community has for this year. Get in tune with what your people are planning for this year. You can run surveys in your group, ask questions various times in your group. Always remember to pay attention and take note of what your community needs and what they can use. Base all your content around them. I will be.
I was thinking of taking advantage of each holiday in the year and doing something just fun. You can’t just work.
Dust off those old programs and ideas and either polish them for a new year or toss them out for other things that work better for your people.
