It's where we want to be
Everybody has to come from somewhere
Everyone has a place that they call home
Even when they’re far away
And even when they roam
We all need to have a place that we call home

For home is where the heart is
         It’s where we feel secure
It’s where we lay our head down
But to most of us it’s more

So everybody has to long for someplace
Whether living in a teepee or a dome
It may not be a mansion
It may be all you own
But everyone wants to know they can go home

Home is where we feel safe
And it’s where we want to be
When the world is closing in on us
And where we can be free

You’re lucky if there’s someone waiting for you
Someone that you would want to wait for too
For that’s what home is meant to be
With someone loving and true
Someone who shares your hopes and dreams with you
