Persuasive Dialogue
Frankie: Remember, today's our last day, babe. First thing tomorrow morning, all the cigarettes go in the trash, as promised.

Gabby: Yeah, I remember.... But Frankie, I've been thinking....

Frankie: Oh, come on Gabby! Look at how bad our asthma has gotten. You had Bronchitis twice this winter. We can't go on like this.

Gabby: And I completely agree! But... I have something else in mind.

Frankie: Oh, boy. Here it goes.

Gabby: I agree that tomorrow morning all the cigarettes should go, but I think we should switch to the alternative, vaping e-cigarettes. It's much safer!

Frankie: Safer? How do you figure?

Gabby: They don't contain tobacco! Inhaling burnt tobacco destroys people's health, and vapes are a positive route for smokers to try and quit.

Frankie: Okay, yeah that may be true, but that doesn't mean vaping is safe!

Gabby: What's so bad about vaping, especially if it's getting you to quit smoking? Plus, they have so many great flavors and you don't have to smell like an ashtray all the time!

Frankie: You do realize that e-cigarettes still contain nicotine, right? Even if you successfully stop smoking cigarettes, you'll still be addicted to nicotine. Some brands use formaldehyde and ingredients used in antifreeze which can cause Cancer. All the fun flavors that you're so excited about, contain Diacetyl which causes Popcorn Lung.

Gabby: Okay, I mean, yeah, that sounds horrible, and I'm sure they're not 100% safe, but experts do think they're less dangerous than cigarettes.

Frankie: Yeah, except when the battery overheats and explodes in your face.

Gabby: Okay, maybe you're right. I should just get the patch.....
