A column about a proposal made by the Tampa bay Rays yesterday.
|I don't have notes for this column.
I'm just going to wing it.
Yesterday, the Tampa Bay Rays proposed to Major League Baseball that the club wants to share the team with the city of Montreal starting next season.
It was proposed that the team play their home games in Tampa the first half of the season and play their home gamin second half in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I think this is idiotic proposal.
First of all, the geography poses a huge problem.
Florida in way down south, close to the equator. Montreal is north of the border.
Also, it'll make it hard for the players.
What are the players suppose to do? Buy two separate homes for their families?
This is going to make MLB look bad if the proposal goes through.
It doesn't make sense and it is completely stupid.
Obviously, the upper crust that is running the Rays are not too smart.
