Will anyone know?
The shape lurked in the warm night. The memory of the aroma of roses made his senses reel, but a sound caught his ear and slowed his blood down as he listened. Was someone there? Would they see the saw before he got rid of it? Ruby red blood still dripped from the blade, as he walked toward the river he knew was at the edge of the woods. The next thing he knew a huge Caribou stood in front of him. Both he and Caribou regarded each other as if trying to read each other's mind. The animal wouldn't tell anyone that he had been there, so the figure moved on. The river loomed as he approached. The Full Buck Moon accentuated the water's efflorescence as the saw disappeared into its depths. Safe for now, the figure turned and walked away through the trees.
