Poem about how our decisions or indecisions affect our lives.
Western Sunrise,
afternoon surprise.
Political tensions
to wars give rise.

Struggles of life
birthed by midwife.
We become our asteroid
ending all life.

Can we prevail
to stem the tide?
Will our purpose
be stifled with pride?

We scuffle over what matters not.
Tempers rising, ever so hot.
Elections fare ignorant bliss.
Points of humanity, easily miss.

Raging believers on sand do build.
Storms brewing, waves rising.
In balance, lives are held.
Disaster looms our claims surmising.
