A walk into the forest night is an epiphany.

An attempt at social suicide
I left the known to seek outside
Walked far into the forest life
Away from the city
Away from strife

I looked about without the fears
I’d held devout throughout the years
Realized when in the trees
All the stones I’d placed on me

The clouds moved past
A hill rose fast
On top I found some peace at last
The full moon sailed in starry skies
A wolf gave voice to mournful cries

Inspired so I joined the tune
We sang our pain out to the moon
In the power of that ancient song
For once I felt that I belonged

Fate, karma, or destiny
Simple chance? What will be will be?
Embraced by nature, wild and free
My four-legged brother, the moon, and me
