Haiku verses celebrating fall (autumn)
Gold lingers on trees
Misty shrouds shredded by gales
A leaf turns cartwheels.

Morning dew diamonds
Twinkle across silent fields
Water pearls shimmer

Fungal parasoles
Some for dinner, some for death
Appearing by night

Waving fields of wheat
A harvest of bearded grain
Barley brewed for beer

Apples for cider
Sweet jams and jellies in jars
Pumpkin in a pie

With all gathered in
A store against winter's gloom
Merriment begins
