I keep checking my phone, waiting for that ping of the messenger notification. I feel restless, like there are rats in my stomach. It's a big decision, what I have asked from her.
Take all the time you want.
But please say yes.
I try concentrating on my SAT homework but I keep losing focus, so finally I give up. I check my mobile again. She hasn't even seen my message yet.
Getting anxious again I get up and start pacing back and forth.
What if she says no?
No she will not, I tell myself, I know she will not...or do i?
It has been a year since we last talked. Since college started I could feel us getting distant. The messages kept getting shorter, the call minutes reducing, until finally there were no calls and no messages. To be honest, when we finally stopped talking, I thought that was it. I had lost her. I go to my shelf and stare at out picture in that pastel pink frame, as if staring hard enough would somehow summon her here.
