short poem about the sea
Long has the sea enchanted sailors and landlubbers alike;
She is nature's greatest enchantress.
She is man's one true love.

However sailors sail with false confidence.
Although they are cautious and clever.
For the sea is as monstrous as it is beautiful.

It will draw you in.
Tempt you with its riches...
and then you're on the bottom,
Never to see the sun again.

So keep up your guard
and beware this elegant horror!
