A short poem about what I think about Fall I wrote on 10-28-10 and edited it on 9-9-19.

During the fall, trees leaves rapidly turn reds, oranges and yellow.
I sit sipping on my warm apple cider and feel quite mellow.
And the squirrels hoard nuts as they look my way as to say, “Hello!”

Halloween’s a splendid and magical time for all to observe and see!
It’s for witches, monsters, children and is even for you and me!
But, as for me, I’ll enjoy it by quietly observing it all, pass out candy and will drink my hot tea.

Children, faeries, angels, ghosts, goblins and the such all scurry about,
Some are green, peach or black and have a large snout,
And none of them ever seem to be unhappy, cry or pout!
