The trees sway with the breeze that is blowing. We hear it howl. We turn to face the wind which is blowing.

Suddenly lightning flashes and lights the sky. The bolt has come close to striking me. I feel the heat from it, watch as a tree bursts into flames. I turn and run away from it. The flames rise and begin to move. It is keeping pace with me. I can smell the wood that is burning from its heat. See the flames as they race forward. I turn and run in another direction, the fire is so hot.

Sweat runs from my body to splash and dance upon the ground. I feel heavy beneath this blanket of sweat. The fire has consumed everything before me. Other than a brook which is flowing nearby. I leap into its water. Dive beneath it surface. SWim beneath the water until I have to surface.

The flames have consumed all that was before me, but the creek. The only things that remain are the stones and soil about the brook, The places that were there are no more.

The thunder roars andf screams into the night. Awaking all the fear that we feel. I look and see the houses of us humans. The fires sweeps across the plain setting fire to all that remains. It had claimed, what we have taken.

I stand here. Alone, Looking at what once was our homes. That is nothing but kindling. The fire claimed it all.

God has repaid us for our actions on the land. We have to atone for our actions upon the planet.
