a poem about love and religion.
could i speak in tongues in you?
could i whisper things inaudible?
could you speak the words for me,
and you should tell me if you understand them.

you know i love you,
you know i have no way of showing.
and now i'm gasping at the thought,
of your gasping breaths in my ear.

could i speak tongues in you?
no religion more sinister,
no feeling so kind.
for i am not so perfect.

and when i am black out,
wasted.
your love that i'd,
tasted.

no sourer taste on my lips,
but dreaming my dreams,
wishing my wish,
that you could take it.

could i speak tongues in you?
could you tell them what i'm saying?
tell your father in prayer that i love you?
that my words are not in vain.

could i speak tongues in you?
could i be your god?
could i show you heaven?
could i get lost?

tongues in you.
