Writer's Cramp Entry
Linda only wanted to have dinner and drinks with her friends, but she never expected what happened that night.

It has been at least twenty years since Linda Bevins saw Robin Hare, and she was so surprised when Robin came up to her at The Grille Restaurant and Pub. Linda met some friends after work for dinner and drinks and they were having a wonderful time when out of the blue, Robin staggers up to Linda, apparently having too much to drink, and starts speaking loudly, "Ha Lina, wha? Don ya memer me, or you jus too good to be seeeeen takkkkin me?"

Linda was embarrassed and taken aback because at first she didn't recognize Robin. Linda said, "I'm sorry, you must have me confused with someone else." Robin didn't like this reply and slurred and spit, "Wha? We wuz bessstttss in da day!!! I did stuf fer you I wunt do fer none body! Yous why I ain got shittttttt now!"

Things started coming back to Linda, when she was in high school, her and Robin were friends and they did everything together. They double dated one night, and Linda's boyfriend raped her. Linda never told anyone, only Robin knew of the horror she went through and Robin couldn't stand to see Linda withdraw from everything and everyone. It was Robin who made him pay for it.

Robin found the boyfriend alone one night and begins yelling at him, telling him how awful Linda's life is now. He starts to slam Linda saying, "She wanted it, she begged me to give it to her. All the girls want me and are lucky if I give it to them." This infuriated Robin and she lost it; she started screaming at him and suddenly, she pounced on him and was beating him, and it felt so good she couldn't stop. He was screaming in pain and begging her to stop. Robin said, "Now who's begging asshole?"

Robin didn't think that was enough though, so she dumped some 151 rum she had been drinking on him and lit him on fire. While watching him burn and scream in pain and agony, she laughed while saying, "Burn you mother fucker, burn! You deserve to die! You are a filthy piece of shit! You aren't even sorry for ruining Linda's life!" He started yelling, "I am sorry, I swear. Put the flames out!"

Some other people in the area saw the fire and ran over and put him out. Robin was screaming hysterically, "No, let him burn, he raped my best friend and ruined her life; he deserves to burn in hell!"

The police and ambulance came and hauled Robin off, she appeared in court and was deemed 'unstable' where she was sentenced to fifteen years minimum in a sanitorium. The boyfriend ended up with third-degree burns covering his face, neck, and upper torso area; he will never look the same again.

Linda lost everything, her self-esteem, dignity, pride, self-worth, and best friend. She moved away for eighteen years and had only moved back two years ago before running into Robin at the pub.

Linda left that life behind her and seeing Robin brought back all those horrific memories. She excused herself and went home. A few evenings later while asleep, Linda heard a noise. She rose out of bed and checked the doors, but there was Robin standing behind her, already inside her house.

Linda said, "Robin, you scared me. How did you get in here? What do you want?" Robin didn't look or smell like she had been drinking, but she had a crazed look about her eyes.

"What do I want? I want what you OWE me!! I want your life!! I should be living like this. I should have the career and a house and friends and money and a nice car! But I don't because of YOU!" Robin yelled.

"I didn't make you burn him that night. I had nothing to do with what you did. How can you blame me?" asked Linda.

Robin wailed, "I did it FOR YOU! He RAPED you! You were my best friend. You know you wanted me to do it. Now I'm here to take what is mine from you."

Linda nervously asked, "What do I have that you are going to take? What do you mean?"

"I am going to TAKE YOU!!!!" Robin laughed.

Linda was never seen nor heard from again.
