When Michael Hutchinson is in net for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team loses.
Last night was no different.
The Leafs lost 5-2 to the Montreal Canadiens.
Hutchinson gave up the first goal of the game to Brendan Gallagher at 7:43 of the opening period.
At 12:34, Jonathan Drouin scored to make it a 2-0 game.
Jake Muzzin scored at 19:44 to close the gap at 2-1.
Andreas Johnsson scored the lone goal of the second period to tie the game.
Unfortunately, 0:07 into the third period, Joel Armia stripped the puck away from Muzzin and scored.
Drouin scored his second goal of the game at 7:40.
Nick Suzuki added another goal at 11:53.
Armia had two points last night.
Hutchinson stopped 33 shots last night.
Toronto has two days off before hosting the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.
