|The Toronto Maple Leafs put on a gritty performance against the Los Angeles Kings last night and won 3-1.
"We knew it was going to be a grind," said Leaf's head coach, Mike Babcock after the game. "I thought it was a really good game for our team."
There was no scoring in the first period.
Alex Lafallo put the Kings ahead 1-0 on the man advantage at 5:40 of the second period.
Alex Kerfoot tied the game at 13:39.
Auston Matthews put the Leafs ahead at 12:36 of the third period.
30 seconds later, William Nylander scored.
Both Matthews and Nylander finished the night with two points.
Toronto Managed to stay out of the penalty box.
The Leafs just had three penalties in the game.
Toronto hosts the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow night.
