A recap of last night's Philadelphia/Toronto game.
|Despite losing 3-2 in a shoot out to the Philadelphia Flyers last night, Toronto Maple Leaf's head coach, Mike Babcock, had nothing, but positive things to say at the post game press conference.
"I actually thought it was a good hockey game," said Babcock.
There was, however, a really negative thing that happened in the game.
Toronto's Mitch Marner injured his right ankle in the second period and went to the dressing room.
A MRI on Marner's ankle is scheduled for tomorrow.
Philadelphia quickly went ahead 2-0 in the first period with goals by Philippe Myers and Oskar Lindblom.
Travis Dermott closed the gap at 2-1 at 10:11 of the second period.
William Nylander tied the game at 3:58 of the third period.
Nothing was solved in overtime.
As a result, the game went the shoot out.
Philadelphia won the shoot out 2 goals to 1.
Flyer's goalie, Brian Elliott, stopped 38 shots.
Leaf's Auston Matthews had two assists.
Nylander had two points.
Toronto's goalie, Frederik Andersen, stopped 30 shots.
