Today I tell you something about Septolet which is a popular shortest forms of poems.
Septolet
Somik Bandopadhyay

The Septolet is one of the popular shortest forms of the modern poem. The number of parts, the number of lines, even the number of words are fixed in this type of poem. There are two parts with a break in between these two, seven lines fourteen words in every Septolet. But there is no rigid instruction about the number of lines or words contained in every part. It is up to the poet. Most interestingly, Both parts deal with the same thought and create a prominent picture through those lines and words as a whole. It is a very difficult task. This is equivalent to paint a picture with those mentioned words and lines. So, this type of poetry is also known as shadow poetry.

Uncomparable
Somik Bandopadhyay

Your beauty
Cannot
Be compared
With others
In any sense.

You are
My universe.

In this Septolet poetry “Uncomparable” I just want to mention in the first part, the beauty of my lover is not comparable with any other material things and in the second part, I mention her as my universe. So, if we combine both parts, I don’t understand anything but her and I blindly love her.
