A recap of last night's Calgary/Toronto game.
|Last night's hockey was a real goal tender's duel.
Calgary Flame's goalie, David Rittich, basically stoned the Toronto Maple Leafs, literally stopping every shot in sight.
In the end, Rittich had 35 saves.
Rittich also stopped all three shoot out shots by the Leafs, helping his team win 2-1.
Toronto's net minder, Frederik Andersen, was equally good in goal, stopping 31 shots.
"I thought it was a pretty even game," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the post game press conference. "The scoreboard reflected that."
There was no scoring in the first period.
Derek Ryan scored the game's first goal at 7:34 of the second period.
William Nylander tied the game in the third period.
There was no scoring in overtime, but there was some spectacular saves on both ends of the ice.
Toronto hosts the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow.
