A poem about my beloved
Is it so awful, to know someone down in his soul?
How beautiful and angelic.
Powerful like an unknown god from a time no longer remembered.
Fragile like a creature with gossamer wings.

Is it awful to love someone
for the pureness of his spirit?
for the rawness of his emotions?
for the unmasked honesty he carries?
Someone so beautifully crafted,
someone so vivid and real
someone so sweet
someone shining so bright.

Dare you hold him down,
clip his wings, make him stay with you
without asking him,
against his will?

Loving someone doesn't mean smother him
Love slips through your fingers like water
when you hold on too tight
Longing, in regret, is always too late when Love is gone.

The true nature of love is to be open and free
to be honest and not greedy
to give with all your heart and soul
To see the magic in someone else
the mystery, the fire.

To almost touch the flames
to almost kiss
to be naked in your soul and stand strong
To know that love is like a river
perpetual... long
Forever
