Wallowing and wafting from white to grey
I was born moonlight white and cotton soft
Making shapes in the air, I wallow and waft
Wondering curious and careless through endless bright skies
I'm a little cloud, growing with each and every sunrise

I've seen oceans and mountains, deserts and valleys
I've seen ghost towns and roaring rallies
Men who fly, have journeyed through me
Horizon to horizon I'm flying out to see

But one wary, silver night, the wind began to howl
Long and cold, in the distance I heard a growl
I was getting heavier and heavier like a ball of Steele
Aching and chills inside of me, what is this sensation I feel?

There was no color come morning, only shades of Grey
No blue sky my eyes could see, only a mystery mist of Grey
Droplettes of tears, falling from my eyes
I hear echoes of my own rumbling cries

Once heavenly white, I'm now darkening gray
My life slipping away in this rainy day
All my tears have fallen, and there's a rainbow in the sky
My journey was fun, but now I must say goodbye...
