For the Toronto Blue Jays to win 7-2 last night was a bit surprising.
The Jays opened the scoring at the top of the third inning when Cavan Biggio singled in Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
Later that same inning, Randal Grichuk put the Jays up 4-0 with a three run homer.
In the bottom of the fourth inning Predro Severino made it a 4-1 game, driving in Anthony Santander with a RBI single.
It was all Toronto from there.
Grichuk drove in Danny Jansen at the top of the seventh inning.
Grichuk went two for five at the plate and had four RBIs last night.
At the top of the eighth inning, Biggio hit a two run homer.
Biggio went three for five at the plate last night and had three RBIs.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Baltimore got a run back when Renato Nunez singled in Cedric Mullins.
Toronto's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu, had another good outing on the mound last night.
Ryu went six innings, giving up just four hits, an earned run, no walks, and struck out three batters.
Santander went two for four at the plate last night.
Oriole's pitcher, Alex Cobb, went 6.2 innings, allowing eight hits, five earned runs, a walk, and struck out four batters.
Jays and Orioles continue the three game series tonight.
