A recap of yesterday's Toronto/Tampa Bay game
|After winning the first game of the four game series, the Toronto Blue Jays have dropped two straight, losing 5-4 to the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday.
Things looked good for the Jays in the beginning as Teoscar Hernandez hit a solo home run at the top of the second inning.
The Jays went ahead 2-0 at the top of the fourth inning when Travis Shaw singled in Vladmir Guerrero Jr.
The Rays, however, battled back in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Jose Martinez drove in Joey Wendle with a single.
Willy Adams scored on a sacrifice fly by Austin Meadows to tie the game.
Brandon Lowe drove in Martinez with a single to put the Rays ahead 3-2.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Meadows singled in Kevin Kiemaier.
The Rays went ahead 5-2 later in the seventh when Meadows scored on a sacrifice fly by Jin-Man Choi.
At the top of the eighth inning Guerrero Jr. hit a two run homer.
Tampa's Yandy Diaz went two for two at the plate.
Ray' starting pitcher, Josh Fleming, went five hits allowing four hits, two earned runs, and struck out three batters.
Toronto's starter, Trent Thornton was pulled after the first inning with an injury.
The series finale takes place this afternoon.
