A meditation on death and the truth of the life that preceded it.

For eons the answer for which I have sought

See what the inchoation of time hath wrought

Be it life, be it death, be it neither eternal

Whether celeste in peace or hellish infernal

The thesis of spirit; The promise of man

Me numinous thinks grasp neither I can

Where one is the night the other is day

In one I leap 'til in the other I lay

Aurora crepuscular so sweet in its dank

The heart thinks it feels the mind's grasped mistake

Borne to wonder, to dream, to ponder all thus

While the force of another misshapens one's trust

In time everlasting one thing not to know

To where does one pass whence then he must go

To know is a never 'til the end that you reach

Then forget sciolistic lessons that man tried to teach

Be it natural, be it malice, but be it is done

The path of the mortal ephemeral for some

Leaf falls, sun sets, and all creatures die

In expiry the truth is that it all was a lie
