A description of the main characters from Toddlerhood, a future animated series.
|The following is a list of characters from Toddlerhood, a future animated series by FDMG Productions that acts as a spiritual successor of sorts to Nickelodeon's Rugrats. The series focuses on a trio of toddlers; Ryan McHiggins, Brad Hunter, and Alice Finklemeyer, who are antagonized by a bully named Butch.
Age: 2 & 1/2
Personality: Shy, timid, cautious, cowardly, smart, friendly, kind, honest.
Ryan Walter McHiggins is the main protagonist of Toddlerhood. He is the two-and-a-half year old son of Walter and Wendy. Ryan is smart, kind, and obedient, but he's also an extreme coward. His fears include bullies, thunder and lightning, and the rabbit who sells batteries on television. Nonetheless, if one of his friends is being bullied, Ryan will put his cowardice aside long enough to help them. Ryan's goals in life are to be a brave hero and to be toilet-trained before his third birthday. Ryan's best friends are Brad Hunter and Alice Finklemeyer, and his worst enemy is Butch Ironhammer. Ryan takes after his father, Walter, in both looks and personality.
Age: 2 & 1/2
Personality: Adventurous, mischevious, brave, stubborn, well-skilled, active.
Bradley Stephen "Brad" Hunter is the deuteragonist of Toddlerhood. He's the two-and-a-half-year-old son of Stephen and Ashley, and Ryan's best friend. Brad is a lot more adventurous than Ryan is, and often tries to talk him into going on dangerous adventures. He does care a lot about Ryan, though, and is often quick to defend him if someone is trying to hurt him physically or emotionally. Brad's interests include sports, video games, and sports-themed video games. Brad takes after his father, Stephen, in personality, but his mother, Ashley, in looks.
Age: 2 & 1/2
Personality: Beautiful, friendly, kind, girly, active
Allison Emily "Alice" Finklemeyer is the tritagonist of Toddlerhood. She's the two-and-a-half-year-old daughter of Hector and Helen. Alice is beautiful as she is kind. Her favorite toy is Orville, a teddy bear she got from the mall in her old home on her second birthday. When she first moved in next to the McHiggins' house, she won the hearts of Ryan and Brad with her beauty, but the three settled on being just really good friends with each other for the time being. Ryan and Brad are extremely loyal to Alice, and will protect her from Butch at any costs. Alice is afraid of spiders, and will freak out if one gets near her.
Age: 4 & 1/2
Personality: Big, strong, mean, book dumb, defiant, manly, dishonest.
Butch Luther Ironhammer is the main antagonist of Toddlerhood. He's the four-and-a-half-year-old son of Harold and Maxine. Butch is big, strong, and mean, and has given himself a reputation for being a big bully. He hates babies, and is not nice to kids his own age, either. In fact, he's been kicked out of preschool several times for his violent behavior. Butch rules the playground and tries to keep "stupid babies" off of it, but what he has in muscle, he lacks in brains. Thanks in part to being a preschool drop-out, he can't read or even count to three. He loves meats and sweets, but hates vegetables, as he thinks they're only for girls and rabbits. Butch's pets include a bulldog named Meathook and a spider named Trapper.
Personality: Cool, well-skilled, brave, smart, kind, active, protective.
Michael Elias "Mike" Martindale is a supporting character on Toddlerhood. He is the six-year-old son of Morgan and Mallory, and the older brother of Melanie. Mike is good at many different things, such as rollerblading, skateboarding, baseball, and video games, but he also has a soft spot for children under the age of three, namely due to having a baby sister of his own. Alice developed a crush on Mike, but he took it in stride, as he only has eyes for Sigrid. He's fully supportive of Ryan and Brad's crushes on Alice, and isn't afraid to stand up to bullies like Butch.
