Love, as we get older, seems to be more difficult to find. Are the risks worth the reward?
It seems to me,
As I walk around.
There are so many people,
Who cannot be found.

“But they're everywhere,” you say,
I admit, that is true.
But the ones I know,
Are see through.

Unavailable, they are....
Emotionally, physically and mentally.
No matter how hard I try,
Or even how gently.

If I show her my love,
She runs for the hills.
Leaving me wondering,
Without any thrills.

Is that all there is,
From this world to choose.
So many can see me,
Yet none willing to lose.

Because love is life's gamble,
You lay your heart down.
And play with a chance,
That love might be found.
