A column about Game Four of the World Series
|I don't know if it is a classic, but Game Four of the World Series last night is going down as memorable.
With two outs, two on base in the bottom of the ninth inning, down 7-6 to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tampa Bay Ray's Brett Phillips hit a blooper into right field.
The tying run scored and then Randy Arozarena scored the winning run on a throwing error to home plate.
Also, Arozarena tripped on his way to home.
The last time I saw a World Series game end in that matter was back in 1986. I was 14 years old.
It was Game Six, Boston Red Sox versus the New York Mets.
Yes, baseball fans know what happened there.
Last night was proof why I watch the World Series, even if the Toronto Blue Jays are not in it.
You never know what is going to happen.
The question now is what impact is this game going to have Brett Phillips career?
It's hard to say, however, it is safe to say that Phillips had his shining moment.
