A poem calling to the one I love to open up to me about their sorrows.
I’ve shed tears for all the same fears
But not the ones presented here
The one’s I’ve yet to hear:

Pale scales and duller eyes
Or “goodness left behind”
Reminiscent of a disguise

But we both know we don’t care for what was there

If you become The Great Tempter
You were always meant to be
You will be condemned next to me
One less time I see you squeezed

I’ve shed my fur as a satyr
Now shed your scales for me
I’ve shed my tears a worshiper
Now shed down unto thee
