Chapter one of one of my stories.

It’s so dark in here, that I can’t even see my 12-year-old sister who is right beside me. She has blond hair, which is in a loose ponytail, light blue eyes, and a perfect smile and her name is Isabelle. She has pale skin. I’m 15 years old and my name is Liam. I have brown hair that is a little shaggy, and dark blue eyes. My skin is very tan and I have a lopsided smile. Isabelle and I would have a younger sister but she did not make it. Where are we? We are in some kind of office that doesn’t have any lights on in it. “Somebody’s coming,” Isabelle whispered

Suddenly the door opened and a man walked in. “Well, hello there Liam, and you too Isabelle.” he flipped the lights on, “Do you know why you're here?”

“No, sir.” Isabelle said calmly.

“Well, I need your help.”

“With what?” I asked.

“Well, have you ever heard the story of the Golden Owl?” he asked.

“No,” we both said.

“Then I’ll tell you. Once upon a time, there was an owl, it had golden eyes, a golden beak, and golden feet. One day it fell from its tree and was stolen from the town. We’ve been looking for someone to go search for it, but we could not find anyone until we found you. So, are you up to the challenge?” he questioned.

“I guess,” I said.

“What do we need to do, and where do we find the owl?” Isabelle asked confidently.

“Well,” he pulled a map down and got a pointing stick, “you are here,” he pointed to a black square. “First you will need to meet me here, at the dock, tomorrow and we will give you a small-ish boat. You might have to battle people on the way, so Isabelle you might get to use your magic powers. All the way over here,” he pointed all the way across the map, “ is the island you are going to. It is not a very friendly island so be careful. Somewhere around here,” he pointed to the center of the island, “is the owl, the people who live there are the ones who stole the owl. They don’t move camp ever, but I wouldn’t split up because if one of you gets captured, then they could get hurt. Then after that, you will return the owl to me and I will tell you what to do from there. OK?”

“OK.” I agreed
