Jake Muzzin put the Leafs ahead 1-0 at 7:46 of the first period with a hard shot at the point.
Sean Monahan tied the game at 12:53 of the second period.
Wayne Simmonds put Toronto ahed 2-1 with his 100th career power play goal at 19:28.
Auston Matthews made it 3-1 Leafs 2:42 into the third period.
Matthew Tkachuk closed the gap at 3-2 with a power play goal at 6:33.
Toronto's Morgan Rielly had three assists.
Leaf's goalie, Jack Campbell stopped 31 shots last night.
Toronto stays in Calgary to play the Flames again tomorrow night.
