|Despite the stellar performance by starting pitcher, Robbie Ray, the Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Tampa Bay Rays last night 5-3.
The Jays went ahead 3-0 at the top of the first inning when Randal Grichuk hit a three run homer.
Toronto didn't score any runs after that.
In the bottom of the second inning, Mike Zunino hit a solo home run.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Rays tied the game with a two run homer by Mike Brosseau.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Tampa went ahead 4-3 when Brandon Lowe scored on an error.
Later in the inning, Manuel Margot scored on a routine ground out.
Ray's pitcher, Ryan Yarbrough went 5.2 innings, allowing three hits, no earned runs, a walk, and struck out six batters.
Jay's Cavan Biggio went three for five at the plate.
Ray went six innings, allowing six hits, three earned runs, no walks, and struck out nine batters.
