Irvin went eight innings, allowing just three hits, an earned run, a walk, and struck out nine batters.
The A's scored all four runs in the bottom of the second inning.
First, Jed Lowrie hit a two run double.
Then, Mitch Moreland hit a two run homer.
The Jays scored their lone run at the top of the sixth inning when Marcus Semien drove in Santiago Espinal with a double.
Lowrie went two for four at the plate and had two RBIs.
Jay's starting pitcher, Anthony Kay went four innings, allowing four hits, four earned runs, two walks, and struck out four batters.
