A recap of yesterday's Toronto/New York Yankees Game One of four.
The Toronto Blue Jay's are smoking hot.

Yesterday at Yankee's Stadium in New York, the Jays won 8-0.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his 40th home run of the season at the top of the first inning.

Guerrero Jr. is now the youngest player in franchise history to hit 40 home runs in a single season.

Guerrero Jr. also extended his hitting streak to 14 games.

Marcus Semien homered two times in the game, including, a grand slam at the top of the ninth inning.

Semien had five RBIs.

Teoscar Hernandez also homered yesterday.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. continues to swing a hot bat as he hit a RBI single yesterday.

Jay's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu, pitched six scoreless innings and struck out six batters.

"He, (Ryu), was on," said Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo at the postgame press conference. "He was really good."

Toronto has now won eight of their last nine games.

New York Yankee's starting pitcher, Jameson Taillon pitched seven innings and struck out five batters.

The Yankees struck out 10 times yesterday.

The Yankees have now lost seven of their last nine games.
