#72 from the pendulum

Wonder is that place we hold sacred
Where night meets day
When the first light of sunrise
Dims the stars.
Cups of knowledge
Spill their words
In the hall outside
On manufactured carpeting.
Voices of our namesakes
Harmonize with eternal understanding.
(Our time was short that day, I loved the feelings and visuals I was getting. This morning I asked "can you tell me more about wonder?)
Wonder is the space between
Feeling and thinking.
In the world of history
We track human thinking.
In birth, life, and death we feel.
Wonder sits patiently in the wings
While we reconcile
The old and the new,
The known and the unknown -
In that space of change
We find wonder.
Wonder why the caged bird sings?
He sings to hear singing.
