|Things got heated yesterday in the eighth inning when Toronto Blue Jay's reliever, Ryan Borucki was ejected after hitting Tampa Bay Ray's Kevin Kiemaier in the back with a wild pitch.
Jay's pitching coach, Pete Walker, stormed out onto the field furious about the umpire's decision.
Eventually, Walker was ejected too.
Kiemaier believed the wild pitch was intensional.
As for the game itself, the Rays hammered Toronto 7-1 to clinched their third straight playoff berth.
In the bottom of the third inning, Austin Meadows hit a three run homer.
Taylor Walls hit a two run single later in the inning.
Meadows had three RBIs.
Yandy Diaz had a RBI single.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. scored Toronto's lone run on a sacrifice fly at the top of the sixth inning.
Toronto left nine runners on base yesterday.
Toronto is now off to Minnesota to begin a four game series with the Twins tonight.
