You can’t help where you come from but you can help who you become
I’ve known you my entire life
yet I wonder who you really are.
You have a story for everything
to gain compassion from others.

If you see something you want,
unjustly you’ll find a way to get it,
no matter who you must cheat
or how many lies lead you there.

Your gratified smile is haunting,
the sorrow of your lies pervade
the air I breath, smothering me
in a dense cloud of misery.

Everything anyone shares with you
is a weapon to be released in time,
to deflect the truth if it comes out
and we’re all just collateral damage.

A liar whose true colors go unseen,
you are very dangerous indeed,
detached, thinking of your gains,
leading others to their very demise.
