It's fun to look around to see all the sights and sounds of spring. |
Spring is on my mind after long winter days, Sun is getting warmer, ready to catch some rays, I cannot wait until the grass and leaves turn green, Lilac bushes’ buds open, come onto the scene. Pretty flowers to open wide their brilliant canvas, A robin redbreast appears, the lawn to compass, When fruit trees flower, honeybees will soon make honey, And red-wing blackbirds sing their raspy conk-ah-reeeee. Spring is here, spring is here, all birds cheerily sing, But where there is warmth, those pesty bugs are a thing, Walking through the woods, you’ll hear sap a flowing into buckets hung from hooks as roosters are crowing. Joining in is another spring creature, the frog, Croaking loud and clear in the dreary and gray smog, Plus, fish spring to life after winter ice has melted, Maybe you’ll see fawns first awkward steps, so heartfelt! Spring is a time for fresh, misty morning soft scents, Butterflies, bumblebees return, a happy event, Spring, time for renewal with spectrum of shades, The sights, sounds and smells bring us happiness in spades. 20 lines Written for: "Panda's Poetry Contest-Closed/Judging" ![]() |
