A short poem about a seemingly abusive relationship

She gave you everything,
She let you in,
You were like a virus,
Once you got under her skin.

She loved you completely,
She wanted to wed,
But you treated her like a slave,
Once you had gotten her into bed.

You tell her what to wear,
You tell her who to see,
You don't even care,
Yet you won't set her free.

Now she cries herself to sleep,
And she cuts herself too deep.

She can't escape,
Your controlling ways,
She says she'll get revenge,
"One of these days".

She promises her mind,
"Your infection I'll return",
Before him she was kind,
"Maybe then you will learn".

She grabs the onion and the knife,
Hears the door and starts to slice.
The knife to your head;
She's liberated,
You're dead.
