Dream Girl True Love Story for Romance Love Poetry Contest |
Dream Girl True Love Story My life Has been a fairy tale romance As I met my wife In a dream world. She first came to me In my dreams Back in 1974 She stood there Speaking to me This lady of mystery the most beautiful women In the universe to me She was speaking In a strange Asian Language I yell out “Who are you ?” She disappears Love blazing from her eyes As I fall down in my class For eight years She haunted my dreams I dream of her weekly I knew That one day I would meet The woman in the dream I went to Korea To find her Knew she would be there Spend three years In the Peace corps Looking for her I was about to give up On this mad quest this insane journey Until I had the last dream She said “Don’t worry We will meet soon.” That night She walked out Of my dreams Into my life Walking off a bus In Korea “Sparks flew From heart to heart “ As the Koreans say That was the date That I met my fate When she came to life Becoming my wife Six weeks later And we have now Been together 41 years And every day Every minute, Every minute I fall in love with her Over and over Under her love spell Until the day I die. Romance is in the air, and I see fluttering hearts as well as sweet words everywhere. I always been in love with words, especially poetry, for me, they are like flowers that have their own beauty, are able to last their fragrance and will stay in ones' heart. Some of these are: Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. . (exerpt From William Shakesphere-Sonnet 18) Or like some all time favorite love poems: "if each day, each hour, you feel that you are destined for me with implacable sweetness, if each day a flower climbs up to your lips to seek me, ah my love, ah my own, in me all that fire is repeated, in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten, my love feeds on your love, beloved, and as long as you live it will be in your arms without leaving mine. (excerpt from if-you-forget-me-by-pablo-neruda) Or like the poetry of our Ms. Heart Throb Poet 2022 here in WDC wonder Land. "Do you know your cameos in my dreams comfort me whenever I'm lost in doubt, but wake to despair without you it seems, sun revealing you're no longer about? (Excerpt from 𝓑rian K Compton 🏹 ❤️ (633) - "Romantic Blue (HeartThrob Poet WINNER)" So I am searching now for poets who will be going to make my heart throb thru scribbling words in the poetic form- Romance Genre. This is an annual contest, and will open only in the month of February, in celebration of the Season of Heart here in this wonderful world of Writing Dot Com. So grab now your mighty pen or 'puter and muse and scribble me poetic words. |
