Just because it is a luxury cage does not change the fact that it is a cage. |
The sky cracked and flashed as the storm raged on. Delilah stood in front of the large glass windows and looked down at the hazy cityscape. She gently placed her hand against the glass as she gazed down at the blurred city lights. “You’ll dirty the window, Delilah.” Usako whispered and wrapped her arms around the girl's waist. Startled, she quickly retracted her hand and clutched them to her chest. “A-ah, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…” “Oh, no need to feel sorry.” Usako pecked Delilah’s shoulder and rested her head. “Why are you here and not in the bedroom?” “I wanted to see the storm. And the bedroom doesn’t really have viewable windows…” She drifted off when she heard the woman sigh in her ear. “I see.” Usako glanced at the scenery. “It reminds me of when we first met at the convenience store. That was a long time ago, wasn’t it, Delilah?” “Y-yes, it was…” “I love you very much, Delilah.” The girl nodded. Usako frowned and grabbed Delilah’s chin, turning it so they met eyes. “You love me, don’t you?” Delilah’s chest grew tight when she responded, “Y-yes, of course.” “Then say it.” She flinched and gave a weary smile, “I l-love you.” Usako smiled and kissed her soft lips. “Good.” She released Delilah and began heading upstairs. “Come to the bedroom shortly.” Delilah nodded and glanced back at the window. She mumbled to herself, “I wish I could…” She caught the reflection of the door in the glass and turned around. Delilah glanced upstairs then back at the door. She quietly ran to the door and turned the knob. The door gently swung open, she took off without looking back leaving Usako behind. |
