A memory of my gol den years

Come sit by me
On the bench
Our favourite spot
when the weather was hot

The jasmine on the ground
and the aroma all around
Remember how it used to be
just you and me
You with your special brew
Sometimes I had one too.

Sitting together under the rose tree
Remembering how it used to be

Now I sit all alone
Because God called you home,
and in the cool of the evening air
I say a prayer
Remembering when it was just
you and me,
on our bench
