The Diamond Chronicles (chapter 1)

Amber is forced to attend a new school and most dragons are scared of her colossal father.

Chapter 1
"Surprise! It's time to go to your new school, Diamond Academy!" Emberstrike said, looking down at his short daughter.
Amber, brushing dust off her orange scales, said "What? I've heard it's not safe there."
"It's just a myth, and King Firestorm recommends it."
"King Firestorm is a idiotic jerk who doesn't have the energy to do anything."
Emberstrike sighed.
"Still, you'll be safe."
"Yeah, lil' sis, you'll be fine!" Topaz, Amber's older brother who just got out of a mud bath, said.
Amber looked slightly disgusted as mud dripped from Topaz.
"Alright, fine."
"And I have a little surprise for you!"
"Oh no, this is not good." Amber thought.
"I signed up to be a teacher at Diamond Academy!" Emberstrike said.
Amber looked as if she was yelling "WHY?" in her mind
"Now come on, it's time to go."
They all flew to the school.
When they got there, it was not long before Amber realized that everybody was maintaining a six feet distance from Emberstrike.
"That's... odd..." Emberstrike muttered.
They stopped when they were at a room labeled "ASSEMBLY".
"I AM GLAD TO ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF OUR NEW CREATIVE WRITING TEACHER, EMBERSTRIKE!" An announcer, named Gemstone, yelled.
Everybody was shocked.
Most hid behind their chairs.
Some gazed in awe.
One made the foolishly brave decision to yell "DIE, YOU BEAST!" only to bump into his claw and fall on the ground.
Amber smacked herself in the face.
"YOU-YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!" The stupid dragon yelled.
"Tsk tsk." He muttered.
"Anyway, you are dismissed." Gemstone, with a "why did you do that" but a "pathetic" face also said.
"Alright, time for bed, Amber. I'll guide you to our dorm." Topaz said.
It seemed like a maze as they endlessly walked, and eventually they found a room labeled "Topaz and Amber".
Inside was two shelfs, and two beds, one's color was amber, the other dark green. They didn't have blankets, or they would get shredded by claws, of course.
"I think you know who's is who's."
Amber lied down, yawned, and fell asleep.
