The Diamond Chronicles - Chapter 2

Amber realizes how intimidating and imposing her father really is.

Amber was woken by a loud "WAKE UP!" from Topaz, who was three times larger then her.
Amber sat up immediately. "...What?"
"We overslept!"
"Oh dear." Amber rolled her eyes.
"COME ON!"
Amber reluctantly ran to her homeroom, for what was half an eternity, that was labeled creative writing.
"Just my luck," she thought.
Not to her surprise, three quarters of the class was hiding behind their chair as a dragon tried to kill Emberstrike.
He failed, of course. (By fail, I mean get thrown on the ground.)
Everybody gasped.
Then, Amber broke.
She just realized that it was just a tiny fraction of what her father could do. She realized that the legends were true. She realized that Emberstrike could be a threat.
"Don't worry, he would never oppose us." She thought.
" If he could do that easily, then what is he capable of?" She worried..
She thought that eventually she would find out, and it wouldn't be good.
Not at all.
She thought.
She worried.
She wondered.
And eventually...
She fainted.
"AMBER!" Topaz and Emberstrike yelled.
Emberstrike cradled Amber as they ran to a room labeled "EMBERSTRIKE"
Emberstrike put Amber down on his bed.
And then they waited...
