“What are you doing here?”

“Is this your private street or something?”

“No! Yes! You don’t live here, and it’s a dead-end street, so why would you be on it?”

“Do dead end streets mean you can’t drive on them? Or walk on the sidewalk?”

“No. But why would you?”

“Maybe I’m looking for a house.”

“Right, because all seventeen-year-olds need to buy houses…”

“Not to buy, just to find… how did you know I was seventeen?”

“You look seventeen, like my sister.”

“Is your sister by any chance Angela?”

“How did you know…”

“I was looking for Angela’s house, and you look a lot like Angela.”

“You know Angela?”

“Yeah, we go to school together. Are you Angela’s sister, Sherry?”

“Well… yes. How do you know that?”

“Angela said she had a sister about your age, only a lot cuter.”

“She said I was cuter?”

“She did. I was hoping to find Angela so we could go get ice cream.”

“At Nickie’s?”

“Maybe, is that your favorite?”

“No, I like Henderson’s better. But Nickie’s is Angela’s favorite…”

“Oh, thanks! We can go to Nickie’s!”

“So, what’s your name?”

“Mike.”

“Well Mike, I’m going to ride my bike around. You need to go up to that white house there, and ring the bell. Have fun at Nickie’s!”

Mike went up and rang the bell. The woman who opened the door told him that Angela lived next door in the brown house… “I saw you talking to Sherry… whatever she told you, do something else. She’s a pathological liar!”

Mike almost laughed! But instead went to the brown house and met up with Angela, and off they went, but to Hendersons.

“I love Hendersons!” Angela said, excited. “How did you know?”

“I have an older brother…” Mike said, smiling.
