Boolie has a fantastic idea to get treats and scare humans. 300-word flash

Trick and Treat

One Halloween Eve, a mischievous ghost named Boolie had what he thought was a fantastic idea.

“I will dress as a ghost. Whether or not, I get candy, I can still trick humans.”

Chuckling to himself, he began making his rounds. He always waited until others left a house before he knocked on the door. When it was opened, he was sure to say Trick and Treat.
This seemed to confuse the older humans.
“Don’t you mean trick or treat?” they would ask.

Once he had been given candy, Boolie revealed his true ghostly form and laughed heartily at the scared reactions and slamming doors. He would quickly sober up for the next house.
This went on for some time, and each time it got funnier to Boolie. Soon his sack was full, and he was about to stop.

“Just one more house,” he told himself. As he approached the door, alarms and flashing lights announced him. He was enchanted by this reception. He rang the bell.
Two people in jumpsuits answered and scanned him with strange wands. Before he could say his new chant, he was sucked into another strange contraption. It was some kind of trap. Then it hit him, these people were Ghostbusters, and he’d tricked his way into their trap.

So that was the end of Boolie’s fun Halloween. He spent overnight in the ghost-trap, stuffing himself with candy and fuming. In spite having grown three sizes from all that candy, he finally squeezed himself out through an almost too small crack in the trap.
He was so sick, he got turned off Halloween candy for good and hired himself out to haunted house attractions around town. He could blow himself up huge whenever he wanted now that his shroud was so baggy.
